Amata’s Diary

Before The Beloved Catholic, there was Amata’s Diary.

It began, as a place where my thoughts could take shape through writing, where prayer, reflection and the small movements of grace in daily life found words. The name comes from my own: Amy, meaning “beloved,” translated in Latin as Amata. That meaning stayed with me because it carries something both deeply personal and profoundly theological.

To be beloved is not sentimental. It is foundational. It is the identity given to us in Christ, an identity that shapes how we see ourselves, how we approach our work, and how we move through the world.

Over time, what began as personal reflection slowly matured. My love for faith and design began to intertwine, and I became increasingly aware of the quiet but powerful role beauty plays in communicating truth. The Beloved Catholic was formed from that foundation.

Amata’s Diary is where I continue to write freely, where I reflect, pray, and allow God to shape the words before they are shared. Because in the end, we are not simply writing our own stories. We are being formed within a far greater one.

I thank God for this gift, as I am only a pen in God’s masterpiece, trusting that His hand will guide all of my work.

A quiet space for reflection and devotion.
