Amata’s Diary
Before The Beloved Catholic, there was Amata’s Diary.
It began as a quiet, personal space - a place devoted to Christ, to reflection, and to the reminder that we are deeply loved by God.
“Amata” means beloved. It is the Latin translation of Amy.
The name stayed with me because it carried something both personal and theological. To be beloved is not simply sentimental - it is foundational. It shapes how we see ourselves, our work, and the world around us.
Over time, what began as written reflections slowly expanded. My love for faith and my discipline in design began to intertwine. I found myself increasingly drawn to the role beauty plays in communicating truth.
The Beloved Catholic was formed from that foundation.
The heart remained the same - Christ-centred, thoughtful, intentional - but the work matured into something more structured, more disciplined, and more outward-facing.
What began as a diary became a design studio.
And the desire remains unchanged:
To create beauty that reminds us we are beloved.
